64th Annual CCWA MUN Code of Conduct

The adoption of this Code of Conduct grows out of concerns expressed in evaluations by previous MUN participants. The Council is committed to ensuring an atmosphere in which all participants use information and skills to effectively represent their countries in courteous civil debate. In order to assure this, the MUN Code of Conduct has been established. We expect all participants to read, understand, and comply with the provisions of the Code. Students who do not observe the Code will forfeit their privileges to speak, vote, etc.; in serious cases, a student may be removed from the meeting.

As a delegate to the Model UN, I agree that:
  1. I will be respectful of all conference attendees, staff, and advisors.
  2. I will respect conference property at all times.
  3. I will observe the schedule of events, meeting at the appointed time in the assigned room for my committee session and only in designated group areas during break times;
  4. I will not leave the conference for any reason without permission of my faculty advisor;
  5. I will attend the committee session to which I am assigned, and remain in that session until recess or adjournment (no loitering outside meeting rooms);
  6. I will wear the badge identifying my country at all times, and I will not modify the badge;
  7. I will refrain from any sort of abuse – racial, sexual, ethnic, etc. – in all verbal or written communications. In addition, I will not pass personal messages of any sort during meetings.
  8. I will not use tobacco, alcohol, or drugs, nor will I bring any weapon (real or toy) to any MUN sessions;
  9. I will comply with the instructions of the CCWA staff who are responsible for enforcing this Code.

Students failing to fully comply with this Code may be expelled from the Conference, and their school's future participation in CCWAMUN may be in jeopardy.

Media Agreement
Photographs and video are taken during programs and events for promotional, marketing, and historical purposes. Unless otherwise stated, participants and attendees agree to release rights to photos or other media recorded at the Council’s educational programs. Please check the box below if you deny permission for the Council to use your photos from this event. You must take personal responsibility to excuse yourself from a photo or video session occurring during Council events.
